Our History
Texas 4H was established in 1906. The Sanger 4H Club was founded in 2022 by a group of community members who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to helping local youths.

Our Mission is to prepare youth to meet the challenges of childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, through a coordinated, long-term, progressive series of educational experiences that enhance life skills and develop social, emotional, physical, and cognitive competencies.

4H Programs in Texas are part of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office in Denton County. This club is for kids and teens ages 5-18 in grades K - 12th. As the largest youth development program in Texas, and includes much more than just animals like shooting sports, food science, healthy living, robotics, fashion and photography.
4H Projects & Age Groups
Sanger 4H Club
Juniors: Ages 5 - 7, Grades K - 2nd
Intermediate: Ages 8 - 10, Grades 3rd - 4th
Seniors: Ages 14 - 19, Grades 8th - 12th
Sanger 4H Clover
Cloverbuds: Ages 5 - 7, Grades K - 2nd
*Cannot participate in Shooting Sports and cannot advance in competitions beyond the District Level.
